Refuse mediocrity. Refuse “good enough.” Refuse “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Why are we here? What’s the point, really, if not to make a difference in something. Doing just enough to get by, to not be noticed, to “fit in”, to skate on through is a colossal waste. Realize the vast majority is average. And just like planets, large groups – the average – have gravitational fields that conspire to pull you in and make you their own. Breaking free is hard and trying isn’t good enough.

Refusing mediocrity means standing out. Being different. Going it alone. Stepping forward when no one else does. Raising your hand when everyone crosses their arms. Speaking out when others are silent.

You sign your name to everything you do, whether it’s taking out the trash or running a multi-billion dollar global organization. Are you proud of your effort? Are you doing more than just what’s expected? Or is there room to be better?

Our time is brief. Make the most of it. No one remembers average.

Refuse mediocrity.

Be remarkable instead.
